Liber Annuus LIX-2009
The Liber Annuus (an annual of about 500 pages) publishes biblical, linguistic and archaeological studies. It also includes preliminary reports on the excavations conducted by the professors of the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum in Jerusalem and their coworkers from Israeli and other scholarly institutions.
The journal was founded by a professor of the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum in Jerusalem between 1950/1951. It is the Institution’s Annual (Year Book), and showcases the scholarly contributions of its professors according to their diverse fields of research. Their studies are supplemented by a number of contributions offered by scholars from other scientific and academic institutions.
Besides exegetical, linguistic, and literary studies on the Old and New Testaments, Liber Annuus publishes works on the History and Archaeology of the Biblical world in general, and of Judaism and Early Christianity in particular.
Each year the archaeologists of the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum publish here the first reports of excavations carried out in Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Syria and Egypt.
Liber Annuus includes articles in English, Italian, German and French. It is distributed worldwide by Brepols International (issues published before 2007 can be either bought at: www.brepols.net or directly at Libreria Terra Santa, Milan: tel.+39-2-3491566, libreria@tsedizioni.it)
