Talatinian Basilio
Father Basilio Talatinian, an Armenian driven out of his native city due to his origins, came to Palestine, where he became a Franciscan of the Custody of the Holy Land. He was sent to the Pontificio Ateneo Antonianum, Rome (now University), where he took a degree in Theology and a Doctorate in Canonical Law. He taught this subject for over 30 years in the seminary of the Custody. He was apostolic visitor of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Rosary, an expert at the Second Vatican Council and was twice President (Deputy Custos) of the Custody of the Holy Land.
